DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026. YouTubeToMP3X respects the intellectual property rights of creators and copyright holders. This page explains what we do and do not do with content, how to file a copyright notice, and what happens after you file one.
What this site does and does not host
This site does not host, index, catalogue, search or store any copyrighted video or audio content. There is no library of files on our servers and no search function over any platform's catalogue. Files are processed transiently, at the explicit request of an individual user who supplies a URL, and are deleted from our server immediately after delivery. At any given moment, our servers hold only files currently in transit to the users who requested them.
Our position
This project is an educational and experimental demonstration of web technology. We instruct all users, on every tool page, in our Terms of Service and throughout our guides, to download only content they own, have permission for, or that is public domain or freely licensed. We do not encourage or condone copyright infringement in any form, and our published guidance tells users honestly where the legal lines are.
Filing a copyright notice
If you are a copyright owner (or an agent authorised to act for one) and believe this service has been used to infringe your rights, send a notice to support@youtubetomp3x.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice" containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, registration number if any, or a representative list if multiple works).
- The exact source URL(s) involved: the platform URL(s) of the video(s) in question. Because we host nothing, the source URL is what lets us act.
- Your contact information: name, organisation, postal address and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices slow everything down. Including all six elements above lets us act on first reading.
What we do with valid notices
We review notices promptly, typically within 2 business days. For valid notices, we block the identified source URL(s) from being processed by any of our tools, so the service can no longer be used to fetch that content. Because no files are stored, there is nothing to "take down" in the classic sense; URL blocking is the effective remedy, and it is permanent unless the rights holder asks us to lift it.
Misrepresentation
Please be aware that under laws such as 17 U.S.C. §512(f), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Automated or speculative notices that identify no specific work or URL cannot be actioned.
Repeat abuse
We monitor for patterns of abuse of our service and block users and traffic that repeatedly attempt to process blocked URLs or otherwise use the tools in violation of our Terms of Service.
