Pinterest is where tutorials live, recipes, DIY builds, workouts, crafts, and video pins are the most useful format on the platform. How to download a video pin

2. Paste it above and press Download.
3. Choose MP4, or MP3 if the pin's audio (a voiceover recipe, for example) is all you need.

Good to know

Only public pins download. Secret boards are private by design. Image pins are pictures, not video (right-click saves those). And Pinterest videos are often re-uploads from TikTok or Instagram; when you can find the original, downloading from the source platform via the TikTok or Instagram tool usually gets better quality.

Video pins, Idea Pins and plain images

Pinterest has three formats that look similar on a board but behave differently. A video pin is a single clip and downloads as one MP4. That is the normal case. An Idea Pin is a multi-page story: paste its link and you get the video from the page you linked, not the whole sequence stitched together. An image pin contains no video at all; your browser's own "save image" is the right tool for those, and this converter will tell you there is no video rather than pretend otherwise.
