Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what information YouTubeToMP3X ("we", "us", "the site") processes when you use this website, why we process it, and what rights you have. The short version: we are built to know as little about you as possible, no accounts, no download history tied to you, and files deleted the moment they are delivered.

Browser extension

YouTubeToMP3X also offers a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Opera and other supported browsers, and it works differently from this website: the conversion runs locally in your browser rather than on our servers. 1. Information we process

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are visited, from which country, on what type of device, and how visitors found us. This data is aggregated and is never used by us to identify an individual person. Google's processing of analytics data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Aggregate download counters

When a tool is used, we increment internal counters (which tool, which source platform, what format, and when) so we can see aggregate statistics, for example, "the MP3 converter was used N times today". These counters are not linked to your identity, and we do not build per-user profiles or histories.

Server and security logs

Like virtually every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, debugging and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated on a short schedule and are not mined for marketing. Our site is fronted by Cloudflare, which processes connection data (including IP addresses) to provide DDoS protection and caching under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

The links you paste

When you paste a video URL, our server must fetch that video from the source platform to process it. That is the service working as described. The URL is used for the conversion and recorded only in the aggregate counters and short-lived technical logs described above.

2. What we do NOT collect or do

  • We do not require accounts, names, email addresses or phone numbers to use any tool.
  • We do not store the files you download: converted files are deleted from our server immediately after delivery.
  • We do not maintain a per-user download history and cannot reconstruct one.
  • We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for their marketing.
  • We do not send marketing email (we have no email addresses to send to).

3. Cookies

We currently use only the cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visits in aggregate. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies ourselves. If we introduce third-party advertising in the future (to keep the tools free), ad partners such as Google AdSense may set their own cookies, and this policy will be updated to describe that and, where required, request your consent.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; every tool on this site works with cookies disabled.

4. Third-party platforms

Video content is fetched from the platform that hosts it (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X and others). Your relationship with those platforms, including anything they log when content is served, is governed by their own privacy policies. We send them only what is technically necessary to retrieve the content you requested; we never share who you are, because we do not know.

5. Data retention

  • Converted files: deleted immediately after delivery, automatically.
  • Server logs: kept briefly (days, not months) and rotated automatically.
  • Aggregate statistics: kept indefinitely, but contain no personal identifiers.

6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA and similar)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we store almost nothing about you, most of these requests are satisfied by design. There is simply no profile to hand over or erase. 7. Children

This site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and by design, we collect almost none from anyone.

8. Security

All traffic to and from the site is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Processing servers are access-controlled, and converted files exist only transiently as described above.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, for example if advertising is introduced, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
