Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of YouTubeToMP3X ("the service", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Nature of the service
YouTubeToMP3X is a free, experimental and educational web tool that demonstrates browser-based media downloading and conversion technology. When you submit a link, our server fetches the publicly available media at that link, converts it to the format you chose, and delivers the file to you. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
The project is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to YouTube, Google, TikTok, Instagram, Meta, X Corp or any other platform, and it is not intended to harm any company, platform or creator, or to circumvent any platform policy.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use this service only for content you are legally allowed to download, which includes:
- content you created or own the rights to;
- content you have explicit permission from the copyright holder to download;
- content in the public domain;
- content released under Creative Commons or similar open licences (subject to the licence's conditions, such as attribution).
You are solely responsible for how you use downloaded files and for complying with the terms of service of the source platform and the copyright laws of your country. Our guide on the legality of downloading explains the landscape in plain language, but it is general information, not legal advice.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use the service to:
- download copyrighted content without permission from the rights holder;
- re-upload, redistribute, sell or monetise downloaded content that you do not own;
- infringe any person's rights, including privacy and publicity rights;
- run automated, bulk or commercial scraping against the service (the tools are for interactive personal use);
- probe, disrupt or overload our infrastructure, or attempt to bypass rate limits and abuse protections;
- do anything that violates applicable law.
4. Intellectual property
The service's own code, design, text and branding belong to us or our licensors. Content you download belongs to its respective rights holders. Using our tools transfers no rights in that content to you. Our written guides may be quoted with attribution and a link.
5. Availability, limits and changes
We may modify, limit or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice, including changing supported platforms, formats, resolutions or file-size limits. We may block traffic that we reasonably consider abusive or automated. Because the service depends on third-party platforms, features can break when those platforms change; we fix things as fast as we can but promise no uptime or availability.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any file will meet your expectations of quality. Output quality is limited by the source material.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service or downloaded content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service, which is zero.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service in violation of these Terms, including claims that content you downloaded or redistributed infringed a third party's rights.
9. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. Rights holders can request action via the process described on our DMCA & Copyright Policy page.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version; continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
