Paste the link of a Tumblr post that contains a video, and the qualities it was uploaded in appear. Choose one to save an MP4, or switch to MP3 for the sound. Both kinds of Tumblr address work: the older name.tumblr.com/post/number links and the newer tumblr.com/name/number ones you get from the share button.
You get the video as it was uploaded to Tumblr, up to its own resolution; in our test a post uploaded in HD came out as H.264 at 1280x720 with AAC sound. Nothing is upscaled, so a small clip stays small. The MP4 plays on phones, TVs and computers without extra apps.
The Audio tab saves an MP3 at 64, 128, 256 or 320 kbps with the post's title written into the file. Tumblr's thumbnails are in a form our converter cannot turn into a cover image, so these MP3s come without artwork.
On an iPhone, open this page in Safari; the MP4 goes to the Files app, and Share, then Save Video, puts it in Photos. On Android, Chrome saves to Downloads. Any current browser works on a computer.
Only download videos you made, have permission to save, or that are clearly licensed for reuse. This site has no connection with Tumblr.
